here they are... finally... gretch, you look beautiful!

so here is my labor of love from this summer. my dear sweet cousin gretch went and got herself hitched. she asked me to make her dress and when i finally gave in i thought jeff was going to divorce me for sure. i had promised him no more wedding dresses... too many tears, stress and emotional breakdowns on my part when i made the last one. so he made me set a few rules... every part of the dress had to come from a pattern!!!! and no stretchy lace!!! funny that he's the one that had to say that, eh? anywhoo, it came together beautifully... no tears, no breakdowns, and luckily gretchen is built like the perfect woman and my dress form was almost exact to her body!!! i can't say there was no stress... because anytime you are working on something as important as a wedding dress there is major stress. is she going to like it? is this even coming close to what she wanted? is she going to hate it, but be nice and say she loves it and then hate me forever for ruining her wedding? is it going to fit her right? arrrggghhh! but in the end, it turned out great. she looked like an angel. here are a few shots from her bridals...
