damn cat!

hunter is in this stage that he repeats EVERYTHING you say (like most kids his age). he's done this for about the last year and some of the things he says crack me up. here are a few of the more recent ones...

scene: a couple months ago they were playing with flash cards at preschool

preschool teacher: does any one know what this one is???
kids: dog!
preschool teacher: what about this one?
kids: cow!
preschool teacher: and this one?
kids: horse!
preschool teacher: and what about this one?
kids: cat
my kid: DAMN cat!

now you all know how we feel about cats at my house...

scene: after kamryn walked out the door for school, just me and hunter

me: what do you want to do today, it's just me and you!
hunter: maybe we should go hunting!
me: that's what you do with you dad, try again...
hunter: i know! i have a GREAT idea!!!
me: what?!?
hunter: we should go find really big horns!!!
me: try again!
hunter: (with the sweetest face and voice ever)... could we please go to cabela's?
me: your fired from the decision making!!!

(do you think he's been brain washed with the rest of the boys from this family or what?)

scene: about 3am this morning after putting him back in bed from a potty break- totally in lala land and i'm sure he was sleeping through the whole scene

me: night hunter.
hunter: mom?
me: yes?
hunter: pull my finger.
me: what?
hunter: pull my finger.
me: um, okay... (pulled his finger)
hunter: (let one really loud one rip)- thanks mom, i feel better... (and then was out cold)

he totally cracks us up daily. i love you hunter! even if you do cuss, and fart, and like to hunt, i still love you and will forever!
