blah, sniffle, snuff, snort, blah, blah, sniffle...

what i've been up to in the last few weeks... cause i definitely haven't been blogging...

*i have had a major case of the blahs... and the crappy cold!!!! one minute i can't get any air through all the snot and the next minute my nose and throat are so dry it hurts. i think i'm finally on the mend and the blahs are slowly leaving.
*i've been sewing up a storm (i had to take over my kitchen table with my craftiness cause i can't handle being in my dreary basement right now). my sewing machine has spewed out a couple of aprons and 2 quilts this month...
*i "babysat" my mom the first day my dad returned to work after her stroke. it was a good excuse to drop off my kids at my friends and take her to get a pedicure (of coarse, i had to get one too!!)
*i had a girls night out with my sister and sil. we went to "bridewars"... hilarious! i loved it!!!! maybe because i knew my sisters were enjoying it as much as me, or maybe because i didn't have anyone call me mom for a few hours.
*i've been dealing with croupy kids. enough said.
*i got both my kids out of pull ups (at night) with bribes of ice skating and train (trax) rides.
*i've read a couple of good books. i love dean koontz.
*i started reading kamryn the american girl books... why oh why didn't i read these when i was little... i LOVE them! i'm tempted to buy her one of the dolls for her bday... but i'm afraid i'd want to play with it more than her...
*i have developed a love hate relationship with our wii. love when i get to play it. hate when hunter plays it... he gets a little overloaded with wii and it turns into a cry fest...
*i've realized that i have the greatest friends a girl could ask for! i can call and cry or whine or vent and then are sweet enough to at least pretend to be sympathetic. you know who you are... thanks!
*i noticed that i dream a lot when i'm on cold medicine... i had an affair with keith urban and my old young woman's leader (jill parker) was helping me sneak around with him in her red sparkly upholstered pimpmobile. don't ask... i don't even understand... and this was one of the more mild dreams i remembered.
*i taught a friend how to make bread today. she makes me laugh cause she pretends that I have it all together... and we all know that is one big fat lie!!!!
*i am now the enrichment leader for our ward and i am trying to organize our annual birthday party... oh, sandra (the old leader) made this look sooooo easy! wish me luck and offer any suggestions you might have!!!!!!
*and tomorrow i am taking off to spend some time with 2 of my most favorite women. we will eat, we will sew, we will laugh, and we won't want to come home!

so, until next time... i AM still alive and doing well. oh, and please don't judge me by how my kiddos will look at church on sunday... daddy will be getting them ready... i am having NOTHING to do with it!!!!
