kamryn has had quite the eventful week. her school has been holding a fundraiser this week. it started on tuesday with kamryn getting her named called over the pa system at school. she had won a free cold stone icecream for turning in her donations. that same day they spotlighted her in her kindergarten class. her reaction to this eventful day??? "mom- this was the best day i've ever had!!!" it continued on wednesday with her winning another free ice cream, but this time from maggy moo's (finally, someone in our family has luck at winning!). she was just as excited about the 2nd free ice cream as the first (especially because she was the only winner in her class the second day). and tonight was the big event. her school held a 'walk-a-thon'. kamryn was very excited for this! she was one of the first to line up on the starting line and she ran almost the entire way (she might have walked about 1/8 of the mile). grandma kathy came to cheer her on and having grandma's support always make what ever you are doing so much more fun! she finished like a champ, sprinting to the finish line. and to top off the HUGE accomplishment of running a mile she also had the 3rd highest in donations for the whole kindergarten so she won a gift certificate to cobblestone pizza. and every family that participated got a day pass to the local rec center and skate pass to good ole' classic skating. we topped off the night taking grandma to cold stone so kamryn could cash in her free ice cream. the kids are both beat (hunter ran a lap, too). i hope they sleep well tonight.
kamryn- i'm so glad you had such a great week! and i'm very proud of you!
(pictures to come... kathy stopped and bought a throw-away camera so we could document every step of the night- well, at least 24 steps)
