happy birthday best buddy!!!

happy birthday saige!!! this is kamryn's best buddy and has been since she was 3 1/2 months old. saige's dad, calvin, and jeff have been friends since kindergarten. when jeff and i got married i gained a new friend as well (calvin's wife, kenzie). and when saige entered the picture she was instantly part of our life. the smarts are more like family than friends. kamryn and saige have gotten along for the most part, although i don't know that i'll ever stop hearing about the time saige bit kamryn (they were 2), or about the time saige showed kamryn how she could stand on the toilet seat to pee. every once in a while they have a little tiff, but nothing long lasting.

we love and adore our little buddy and were so excited to attend her 'little' birthday party. they had rented a pool in there neighborhood- check this thing out. i took the picture after the party and the cover was put on, but WOW!!!!

and this is the yard where the pool house resides... to die for! i so wish i had the ability to keep something like this alive... even one plant in my house doesn't stand a chance. can you imagine the damage i could do to this yard???

and after the pool party we headed back to saige's house for dinner, cake and ice cream. hunter watched all the big boys (12yr olds- i think) and wanted to be just like them. so he watched, and watched, and watched.... and when i looked over to see what he was up to he had a big grin and was standing on the top of this rock wall. and then... HE JUMPED!!!! yes, he cleared the rocks, but his little bum hit the curbing and he twisted his ankle, not to mention he gave his mommy a heart attack! he was a lucky little kid, and you'd think he'd learn from the first flight, but i had to pull him off that rock wall more than once that night. he thinks he's much bigger than he is.

even with the rock jumping... we had a great time! we love our little buddy and were so happy to celebrate her 5th birthday with her! happy birthday saige!

What a fun story! And WOAH--that place is AMAZING! Sigh...I couldn't keep all that alive for anything. I am sure of it.
