free fishing day!

on saturday we woke up early, got dressed and headed out the door. it was free fishing day at cabela's and we decided to brave the crowd (and the weather) to check it out. they had free hats for the first so many kids that participated. the weather was cold and windy and it was shoulder to shoulder at the make-shift pond. we saw a whooping 1 fish pulled out in the 20 minutes we were out there. the kids had a good time, but grandpa don was in his heighth of glory! i think hunter enjoyed it more than the rest of the little ones. he kept reeling in his line, getting it tangled with the other kids, and trying to re-cast it. it was giving jeff some stress, but hunter loved it.



after fishing we walked down to the other side of cabela's where they were holding their annual 'antlerfest'. hunter thought all the sheds were pretty cool and kept trying to pick them up. we had to keep a close eye on him. then grandma pointed out a shirt and told me kamryn wanted it. kamryn on the other hand was so embarrassed! she wouldn't even get a picture with, but kendyl was ready to pose! she thought it was pretty cool- although, i'm pretty sure none of them actually got it.


chet and tiffany brought doughnuts and chocolate milk to share. you would have thought my kids were starving they way the snarffed them down. but it made for some cute pictures!

we tried to talk grandpa into buying one these wheelers, but for some reason he doesn't trust a 5yr old, a 3yr old, 2 2yr olds and a 10 month old with a 4wheeler (i wonder why). well, and then grandma said if they bought one they'd also have to invest in a couple pair of boxing gloves for all the kids fight over it with!

we had such fun time playing with the cousins and visiting. besides, when jeff gets a chance to go to cabela's he usually doesn't turn it down!
