nerdifide

i am officially an internet geek. i use to think it was so strange when people would tell me they 'met' someone over the internet. oh, too funny. how big of a looser do you have to be to meet people on the internet???

well, today i am that looser!!!! i met up with a bunch of girls that i have never seen face to face (except marci) to have lunch. i am part of a blog called apron girls. my aunt marci told me about it one day and suddenly i found myself checking every time i got on the computer. they talk about day to day stuff, a new recipe, a pattern, how to clean a scummy tub, bullying, and all sorts of other things. i started commenting on a regular basis and i decided if i was going to be checking it i might as well be part of it (then i wouldn't feel like such a stalker!)

and after a few months of blogging back and forth, a couple of phone calls, and an occasional smart*%$ comment i finally was able to put a 3d face to their names. we all met up to gardner village and ate lunch at archibalds (oh, they have killer fish and chips!) and then did a little shopping. i haven't laughed so hard in a very long time. i think we scared a few people out of the restaurant with how loud we were, but hey, we were having a good time.

and the best part is i totally feel like i finally have a group of girl friends where there is no back biting, gossiping, or self righteousness! don't get me wrong, i love all of you out there, but if you haven't noticed all my friends come in a single package. this friend doesn't know that friend and that friend would definately not mesh with this friend. so to have a group of girls being silly and laughing and taking things out of context (sorry v about the clinton comment- i totally thought you were comparing yourself to monica luinsky!!!) and nobody being too easily offended- oh it was fun!!!

i didn't even get out my camera because rachel had hers and she is a much better photographer than i am and her camera is AWESOME! it would have been like taking a plate of store bought, stale cookies to a party and setting them next to a plate of homemade oyie goyie bars... no comparison. so i will post pictures when she emails them to me.
