field trip

yesterday hunter and i got to join kamryn and her preschool class at the zoo. this was a HUGE thing for my kids. we very seldom travel outside the 10miles radius our house. kamryn and hunter have been looking forward to this little field trip all month long.

hunter was fascinated from the time we walked through the front gates. it took a little while to talk him into leaving the water sphere.
kamryn tried to act so grown up the whole time. she was pointing everything out to hunter and being such a good big sister.
sad to say, but i think this was one of the highlights of our zoo trip. we took a drink out of this stupid lions mouth about 50 times. hunter wasn't sure of it at first...
but he eventually caught on and then would cry when his turn was over.
we rode up with a girl in my ward and her little boy (trenton). he's goes to the same preschool, just not on the same day. he played so well with both kamryn and hunter. i just loved this picture. this is how they got around the zoo most of the day.

the biggest highlight was the train. from the time we boarded to the time we got off hunter's jaw was on the floor. it only would shut when they would blow the whistle and he'd start giggling and say "mama, it's a train!!!!" i really don't think he saw one animal on the ride. he was too excited to be riding. and he wasn't to thrilled when the ride was over. i left camera in the stroller when we rode the train- oh how i wish i could have captured the look on his face!

all in all- it was a great day!
